Clean Fluffy

This is a showering question, I have this fluffy thing I wash with.?
I have seen something on a stick and it looks rough like a piece of a coal reef is this something that will hurt my skin or just stick with the fluffy thing I use. I want something that when I wash I'll be clean
It's called a loofah 
But they're not so great because they have lots of bacteria that builds up. So if you continue using the mesh shower sponge just put it in the washer once a week.
