Leather Crafting
Is there someone who knows how to Craft Leather dismantling and re-dye a Smooth Leather handbag decorated?
My purse is a light color or natural color, ornate, homemade Tandy Leather good fellowship, I received as a gift. Has been used and shows some wear now is dry and has some small cracks at the top of the ramp. I would like to remove the clear lacquer finish and re-dye a cognac or med. Cherry-brown color and top coat it. What should I use to remove the top finish clear, when do I moisturize the leather ... before or after death, and a layman can do a decent job to re-finish? I did some painting and other crafts. Any other suggestions or recommendations? Thank you
