Splits Leather
I have a leather recliner, but the leather formed a crease and split. It's 4 inches split in the seat. Ideas?
The leather recliner formed a crease and eventually the leather wore out and split. Near that split it looks like other creases are about to open as well. I can't imagine that glue would fix it. I'm almost to the point of putting duct tape on it and a cover over the chair. But maybe there are better ways. Who knows, maybe glue works if the leather is slightly overlapped.
Can this be fixed? Glued? Stitched? Or am I going to have to buy a new recliner?
The first thing I would do is complain to the maker, whether you just bought it, or have a warranty, it should work. If not then there are a lot of leather fixers out on the market where you put a patch over the spot and lather this gluey liquidy type thing over it and you can barely tell there was a rip in the first place... I would try this out. Hope this helps!
