How to spray dye hair without it clumping together?

I want to see how my hair will look black so i want to spray it black but when i try it clumps together and always turns out brown-ish. How can i spray dye it with out it doing this??
I have dark blond/almost brown hair.

Take a fine tooth comb and comb down 4 inches from your scalp then spray. Don't spray so close to your head. Hold the bottle about a half a foot away from your head in distance, and spray from there. When that area is done, move the comb down, and spray the rest of your hair. Then the back layers. Do it this way until finished and then do it again (the layers will make it appear darker and it's better if you do the second layer after the first has dried). Also, if you're planning on dying your hair black, I'd reccomend bleaching it first to strip the color so it doesn't mess up. Good luck!
