how do I dye jet black hair med brown?

I have jet black hair and I'm looking to dye a med brown. I have only got tonight and tomorrow night to dye it so i don't have time to make a trip to the hairdressers.

Look at this color chart. If you are a 1 and want to be a 4, you could do this. Look at the natural hair color level about 1/3 of the way down the page.

Go to Sally's or any beauty supply store and find the color you want and get a developer that is 40 volume. good luck.
