Brass Snaps

How do I attach the radiator fluid transmission lines?

I just installed a new radiator, and I have a leak transmission fluid where the lines connect to the radiator. Car is a 89 Taurus with the 3.8. Many Ford have a special device that engages the line up, but I do that. The radiator is common between 2.5, 3.0 and 3.8 models, and there are two styles of cards for the two methods of fixing lines. I lines trans-like brake lines, with a castle nut that slips over the line that has a flared, and screw in an adapter brass screws onto the side of the radiator. The adapter and radiator are son of hose tap. I have not used all the sealant is fitting. Teflon tape to stand, or do I need some other type of sealant? My Haynes manual says that "the installation is reverse of removal."

DO NOT teflon tape - it reacts with the transmission fluid and can cause pipe failure. Loc-Tite to make a product called "Seal water "which is much more appropriate.
