Rug Calf
bringing animal skins into the USA?
in a few months time, i will be immigrating to the US from new zealand, so i will be packing up alot of my possessions and bringing them along with me. the only thing is that i have a number of animal skin rugs, nothing exotic just two deer, a calf, two possums and a sheep skin. i also have a collection of bird feathers, peacock etc. will i be permitted to bring these into the country? obviously i am aware of quarantine procedures etc, i was just wondering if anyone could tell me if i'd even be allowed to take them that far. thankyou very much!
They are mostly concerned with hides, etc. from endangered species. However, best would be to contact them and ask specifically regarding the "collection of bird feathers".
