Will a metallic bracelet effect his mechanical valve?
My dad had a valve replace in his heart and now he has a mechanical valve. He reciently heard about this metallic or copper bracelet that can help with arthritis and stuff...will that effect his valve in anyway?
Even if the the bracelet were magnetic, we do not know of any such jewelry that would interfere with the normal function of a mechanical valve. There is no convincing evidence that copper or magnetic bracelets really help with arthritis, but it certainly would not hurt to try.
