Hides Gold
Where is the gold and jewels Bilbo brings back?
All the hobbits keeps talking about all the hidden gold in the start of the lord of the rings but there is no indication to any at all.
So how did Bilbo get very rich then? And did he actually take any gold from Smaug's cave or not? If he did, where is it all?
Bilbo got rich by gaining the gold from Thorin's Cave (the cave that Smaug had stolen from the dwarf Thorin) after Smaug was slain by Bard. He took home a share of the treasure from the cave. When he returned home, Bilbo ended up having to buy back his furniture and items that his neighbors had sold, taking away much of the treasure. So, Bilbo has a lot of the gold (which he keeps at home), as well as the villagers of his town. This is all learned in "The Hobbit" by J.R.R. Tolkein.
