How to soften a new leather Western Saddle?
Hi all! I just bought a brand new show western saddle (silver) and I would like to know your methods to soften. Thank you for all your answers!
You probably have a support saddle ... Put your saddle on the rack. You will need a broom handle and water, preferably in a spray bottle. *** Apply water on the bottom, not the upper surface of the leather. Putting water on the top seed will be treated waterspot and discolor the finish .*** Spray the back wings, turning the stirrups as they would if you were a horse and put the broom handle through them. Let dry. Alternatively, you could Spray to wet, saddle your horse and dry. That would be my preference.
